About Kelby Strohm

Kelby Strohm is a Washington and Aspen, CO-based sales manager with a strong background in Creative Marketing and Brand Development for businesses of all sizes and market sectors. Strohm is the epitome of the current generation of business professionals keen to develop modern business marketing strategies that take advantage of social media, artificial intelligence, and viral content creation.

Strohm’s branding skills are in high demand. His client list includes rap artists T-Pain and Flo Rida, trending brands like Oberto Beef Jerky and Oakley eyewear, and large corporations such as Boeing and Audi. A graduate of the University of Washington, his hard work and determination have made him a business marketing thought leader.

Highly driven in creative marketing, Strohm closely examines each client’s brand voice, tone, and messaging to scale their social media presence and improve their content creation strategies and sales. A brand-building expert from the beginning of his career, Kelby started his own photography and videography business from the ground up.

EARLY LIFE

Kelby Strohm grew up in Snohomish, Washington, and from the age of 3, he learned to ski at Stevens Pass, a ski area in the Cascade Range of Washington, ultimately beginning his lifelong passion for action sports. At the age of 7 he learned to wakeboard and later became an athlete for WWU at the College Wakeboard Nationals. His entire youth was spent living the life of an outdoorsman.

When Kelby was in grade school, he was the sole student chosen to represent the state of Washington at a People to People Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. The week-long conference was instrumental in shaping Strohm’s political views and empowered him to actively participate in community volunteerism.

During high school, Strohm was regularly listed on the honor roll, was a multiple sport varsity athlete in track and football, was a leader in religious retreats, was a Sunday school teacher, and was very active in charity work with his church.

Kelby continues his love for the great outdoors as an adult. He has always been an avid hiker and trail runner, but most of all he enjoys backcountry snowboarding. This extreme sport takes snowboarding to another level, traveling on unmarked and unmaintained slopes, and often combines hiking and snowshoeing to traverse the remote areas. He is the proud parent of a Siberian Husky named Katara, who has accompanied him on many backcountry adventures.

EDUCATION

Kelby Strohm attended the University of Washington Bothell. He majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership & Strategic Innovation and Finance. He earned his degree with honors in 2024, graduating in the top 0.6% of his class.

His outstanding academic performance includes a 3.95 GPA, Honors status on the Dean’s List, and inclusion in the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. During his post-secondary education, Kelby was active in several academic projects and business partnerships. Most notably, he was trusted with redesigning the structure, course syllabus, and templates for the project management course at the University of Washington.

He was a consultant to a Boeing Vice President to help the corporation increase incremental revenue through a strategic marketing plan geared toward high-value customers. Strohm directly oversaw this significant project’s data collection architecture, customer clustering, data analysis, and proposal structures.

He was also asked to attend and participate in a study abroad program in India with students in the University of Washington Master in Business program. In India, he studied and applied the concepts he had learned surrounding technological innovation and business.

CAREER

Kelby started his career in retail sales before pursuing his career in professional photography and videography, where he built his career as a freelancer working for some of the world’s largest brands and clients.

While at university, Kelby Strohm spent a year building a small-town ski shop before having to walk away due to external issues outside of his control. He was then hired by Tree Service as a sales and marketing consultant. Here, he learned how to utilize strong communication and negotiation to execute high-ticket sales in a remote setting, from lead generation to bids to closing sales. Kelby was also motivated to start his own business, so he launched his e-commerce apparel store.

Each of these early business ventures added to Kelby’s marketing and sales knowledge. He became intimately involved in product photography, content creation, and social media marketing to build a customer base and increase brand awareness. In Kelby’s now executive role as Sales & Marketing Consultant at a Tree Service, he is using his UW education and marketing experience to develop business plans that grow sales conversion by taking advantage of changing market opportunities. He is credited for creating his own style of guerrilla marketing that has proven successful at increasing lead generation. Kelby does not believe in solely depending on digital technologies to increase business opportunities. He is adept at fostering relationships that increase closing percentages, sales volume, and customer retention.

Throughout his career, Strohm has been a self-starter, becoming highly proficient at the following technologies to support his client base:

  • Sales Closing & Lead Generation
